Ecuador’s Secretaría Nacional de Planificación y Desarrollo (SENPLADES) asked JC&A to design and develop its National Action Plan together with guidelines of key regulatory tools involving administrative simplification, regulatory impact assessment (RIA), enforcement and inspection reform to improve the regulatory power and control of the State, and ensure that the rights of citizenship. The project included undertaking an in-depth diagnostic of key regulatory bodies, pilot RIAs, development of specific road maps and training of SENPLADES’ better regulation unit.
