The project consisted of developing and delivering three online-based trainings and case studies on Good Regulatory Practice (GRP) drawing on the draft Commonwealth Principles, OECD, ASEAN, and other regional principles.
- Training materials and country case studies focused on the:
- The Importance of High-Level Political Commitment to GRP;
- Transparency, clarity and predictability of regulations;
- The use of stakeholder management tools such as regulatory reviews;
- Oversight mechanisms to ensure compliance with Good Regulatory Practices;
- Regulatory coherence and consistency; and
- The importance of International regulatory cooperation.
Dr Cordova virtually delivered three series of trainings of up to 90 mins on the six specific aspects of Good Regulatory Principles above to more than 100 participants from the Commonwealth GRP network. The presentations were based on a series of country case studies from Commonwealth countries illustrating the implementation of these six principles across different levels of development and from different regions.
