Jacobs, Cordova & Associates took part in one of the largest European-wide management consultancy projects. The aim was to reduce the administrative burdens of the most significant EU regulations by 25%. A consortium of consulting companies conducted Standard Cost Model (SCM) measurements of the regulations, and identified simplification proposals that led to a reduction in the administrative costs by 25%. The project was an important part of the EU’s Lisbon Strategy to become “the world’s most dynamic knowledge-based economy by 2010.” Jacobs, Cordova & Associates wrote the concluding “Manual to Reduce Administrative Burdens” that provides tools for finding solutions to reduce administrative burdens in Europe.
