The objective of this study was to prepare for the Ministry of Economy a study on how to incorporate in the Chilean administrative system, a system of regulatory impact analysis (RIA) based on best practices and experiences of OECD countries. The work was founded on a comprehensive diagnosis of the policies, laws, institutions and administrative procedures involved in the preparation of legal and regulatory measures in the country. Based on this assessment—which was validated by the government–JC&A prepared a multiannual program for the implementation of RIA. The results were presented in a series of conferences with public and private participants.
