The project objectives were: i) to present the Nicaraguan government a wide range of institutional arrangements and reform techniques that have been used by other countries to undertake regulatory reform (both for the reform efforts of the entire system and approaches specific reforms) including lessons that may be applicable to the reality of Nicaragua; ii) to participate in meetings and workshops to share these experiences and lessons with some of the institutions, and iii) to develop a specific recommendations report for the government and the World Ban for the design and implementation of a systemic regulatory reform.
