The Government of Uzbekistan launched two connected web portals: (1) www.regulation.gov.uz to ensure the systematic and transparent public consultation mechanism and increase the quality of regulation, and (2) the recently established project.gov.uz to assist regulators in the preparation of their draft regulations.
JC&A assisted the Ministry of Justice in charge of the portals in the assessment and modernization to improve the RIA and public consultation processes. The modernization includes an evaluation and recommendations on information availability, enhanced product and service variety for end consumers, and greater productivity for providing multifunctional access to information databases of line ministries. JC&A proposed to set up a single information space for processing, analyzing, and storing the data used in RIA report preparation and consultation.
