Jacobs, Cordova & Associates worked with the resident team of STAR to provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Justice in finalizing the regulatory impact analysis (RIA) for key issues related to the Law on the Promulgation of Legal Normative Documents (the Law on Laws). The Law was submitted to the National Assembly for approval in May 2008. The RIA was essential for ensuring that the final version of the Law was consistent with Vietnam’s BTA and WTO commitments regarding transparency and in helping Vietnam develop a better regulatory system.
