The project consisted of providing guidance and advice to the Central Inspectorate during its first year of operation. It consisted in assisting the government to develop a strong governance of this body in order to effectively and efficiently implement the new inspection system established by the 2011 Inspection Law. Jacobs, Cordova & Associates trained the members of the Central Inspectorate (CI), assisted the CI with the design of its first annual working plan, provided advice on means to foster the consolidation and merger of inspection bodies, and developed a strategy for setting up a risk-based inspection systems in the country.
